How To Use

POSTING: Making text printable in the Visual Editor
Select an item (single or multiple lines of text) in the Visual HTML editor and click the Select and Print button. In the Visual editor, the button is a printer with a checkmark over it.

POSTING: Making text printable in the HTML Editor
Select an item (single or multiple lines of text) in the HTML editor and click the Select and Print button. In the HTML editor, the button has the text "SAP item".

POSTING: How to see the tables in the Visual Editor
After you've made the text printable in Visual Mode, go to the HTML Editor and back to the Visual Editor. This will cause the Visual Editor to show the table outlines and makes editing spacing easier.

POSTING: How the print button is generated (this happens automatically on save)
When you save the post using "Save Draft" or "Publish", the print button will be generated at the bottom of the post. ** NOTE: If you preview without ever saving, it will not display the checkboxes and button in the preview.

SETTINGS: Examples of what to use
Enable Header - Check this box to use a header on the Print Page.

HTML for Header - Use HTML to insert your custom image like this:

Enable right sidebar Ad - Check this box to use a right sidebar Ad.

Size of right sidebar Ad - The size of this space is either 300x250 or 600x160. Select the size for the Ad or HTML that you want to use.

Code for right sidebar Ad - You can also put HTML here. Ad should fit in the size you selected for "Size of right sidebar Ad".

Enable Footer - Check this box to use a footer on the Print Page.

HTML for Footer - Use HTML to insert your Ad or custom footer. Example google adsense ad with IDs changed:

Show Close Page Button - Check this box to show Close Page Buttons on the Print Page.

Print Page Print Button Text - This text will be used on the Print Buttons on the Print Page.

Post Print Button Text - This text will be used on the Print Button at the end of each Post that uses Select and Print.

Print Page Item Font Size (in pixels): - This option should be set to a number (default value is 13) and sets the font size in pixels that will be used for each item on the Print Page.

Print Button CSS class (for button styling) - This will be used as the CSS class for the Print Buttons on Print Page and in each Post that uses Select and Print. I like to use the value "form_submit" - it is a button styling that my theme (Thesis 1.8) uses. Using it makes the buttons look like other buttons on my site.

Tips & Tricks

Generally, you want to finish the post like you normally would. I prefer to save it then. Then go back through the post selecting items you want to be printable and clicking the Select and Print button. - If you work in the Visual editor, after you have made the items printable, this will help to see the spacing of the items: go to HTML mode and then back to the Visual mode - this will cause the editor to show the tables around the printable items (and make it easier to insert/remove extra spacing).
